Hi guys i got a 86 ford f250 460 i was wondering how do u no if the ignition module is going bad THanks for helping...

Runs very poorly if at all. Will foul spark plugs. Acts like the timing is severely retarded or it's running out of gas. Very sluggish. You have to feather the throttle to keep it running. These are the best descriptions I can think of.

Mine always just backfires and dies on the spot.

Does it about every 75-80k. I keep a spare module under the seat...

if i'm not mistaken, this is an item you can take in to a local auto parts store and have tested.
