Do u have 4wd? If not I wouldn't even think about plowing. The 7700gvw model with 7 lug nuts would be a more appropriate truck. That plow will add a lot of weight.

Your spring have been replaced with torsion bars. Depending on the size of the plow you should be fine. Many people will agree, many will also disagree.

kaboom, yes its a 4x4,i thought thats why we put our trucks in our sig line so we dont have to repeat the info.and yes the 7 lug version is heavier, but i dont have that truck.
papajoemrt,i meant torsion bars,i got about the same comment as far as the truck handling the plow over on plowsite, guess i'll just to wait and see how it does,i can always crank the bars a little if i have to

Oops my bad. It's just I wouldn't want to see a broken front end component. I have enuff fun in the snow when it gets deep. I would imagine you would want to to. The deeper the better. I enjoy blowing the snow for as many neighbors as I can.

I don't know about cranking the bars and putting a plow on it for cranking them alone can add more stress to other steering and chassis parts.
