I am in need of replacing my tires on my stock 94 and would like to get BFG AT KO 31/10.50/15 but the best price I have found is $815, and right now my pocket book is a bit tight. So what would you recommend in that tire size some thing that is a good tire but cheaper? I have always run BFG on my vehicles so I am not sure about other brands. Thanks for the opinions<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

I printed the lowest price for a set of Goodyear Silent Armor Wranglers on www.onlinetires.com. Do not print the shipping charge. I went to the nearest Goodyear dealer, asked him if he could meet this price. If he could I would buy them from him. Well, he sold them to me for $10.00 more than the advertised price. $147.00 for 33x11.50x15. Try this with your local dealers, you just might get lucky.
where are you looking for tires? Costco and Walmart both sell BFG's and for way cheaper prices then most shops. that buy 3 get 1 free is a gimic and rarly is it a bargain. I would also check Discount/americas tire as they tend to match or beat prices from other places. I know you have sales tax there in cali but here in oregon for instance i can get a set of 35 km2's for 800 from costco.
checked costco and the tires were $150 each, with mount and tax it was close to $800. the procomps tires, mounting, tax, is around $570, that is a good savings. but if the tires are junk i will just keep looking

those procomps seem like a good price. 150/tire for a 31" is robbery. what kind of mileage guarantee do they have on the procomps you looked at? if you can post what type they are that might help some as there are a few light duty PC brands
here are the specs for the two i was looking at

the first one would probably be the better tire for where you live. if you can find a load range D that would be even better as the tire can hold more pressure and thus has less rolling resistance. vs a tire thats max air pressure is 35lbs like the road range C.
I know many people have been happy with big o big foot a/t tires. They come with a 3 year, no questions asked warranty and are generally priced very competitively. I run bfgs myself, and yes they are the bees knees, but it was also what my old man bought for the truck when I started driving. If I had to buy new tires myself, this is almost certainly the route i would go.
I personally will NEVER buy tires from Walmart again. I put a set of BFG's on my bronco and they wore out incredibly fast as well as 8 holes in the left rear. I don't 4 wheel except in my pastures, but do live on a dirt road. Oh and their tire guy couldn't get the bead to seat on it(the replacement tire) and my husband had to get it done. We have run BFG's for 15 years that we got at other tire shops here in AR and CO always liked them, obviously. We went with Toyos this time as alot of the oil field trucks run them and the price was right. 31x10.50/15 for $550. We've had them for 1 year and they have great traction , wear well and ride good. I bought them from our local tire shop, but check out by you and on the net to see if they are a viable option for you.
