I know there are plenty of older threads on tires, but I would like some fresh suggestions. I have an 04 F250 CC with X code springs and F350 rear blocks. Its getting to be new tire time and would like the best possible tires taking these things into consideration
1. High mileage, I got 65,000 miles on the oems and expect at least the same
2. Quiet
3. I currently have 235 85 R16 Generals, I am happy with them except for weather related traction, I do snow plow (if we actually get any snow in NJ this year) and have found these tires a little lacking in this department.
4. I have no plans to lift, however I might like to increase size a little bit, what can I go up to with no tire rub at all, due to the crew cab, this boat is always steered to the stops.
5. I want something with the oem specs for load, which I believe is E
I have a 1999 F250 stock suspension/wheels except for Icon mini pack leveling kit (1 7/8 inch) on the front. I have Toyo M55 in 255 85 R16. They don't rub, and they corrected the speedo which read a little faster than actual.
copper discover ATR I run them on all my vehicles they are great in most everything. exception mud bogging or very deep snow. which i dont get into, i'll leave those things to my brother. but it does come down to personel preference though.
in the next month or so i'm going to be trying the hankook dynapro atm rf10's. i've heard nothing but great reviews on them for all driving conditions and they are supposed to get some pretty good tread wear.

I'll put my vote in for BF Goodrich TA radials. I've been runnin' these for several years and have not plans to change. They are somewhat pricey but you get what you pay for.

I have Mastercraft 265x75x16's and at 30000 miles one has formed a bubble. I have also been shopping for tires. Dang if Michelin is out of stock. I wanted the Michelin LTX M/S but everyone was out so I settled for the Michelin X Radial LT E load range.
Still waiting for fedex to deliver them. My truck is parked until they arrive.
My suggestion Would be Cooper ATR 265/75/16
Awsome tire that will do well in snow, help fill up your wheel wells and wear like Iron and come in load E.
No matter what brand you buy gat 265's and stay with load E.
Here in Northern IN it is one of the most popular tires on full size trucks.

The Mastercraft that I have are Coopers. I was disappointed with the sidewall cracking after 2 years and the blistering up of the tread. I have been fighting tire pull since the tires were new. Moving left to right trying to get the truck to drive straight. It was driving straight as an arrow when the tires blistered. I called cooper direct on the phone but they would do nothing as 51% of the rubber was gone. Probably from all the pulling and work trying to get them to drive straight. Apparently one of them was a defective tire from the start but with no blister the dealer would do nothing. Cooper said they would switch them but it takes the dealer to make it happen so I don't fault cooper. The Michelins I am buying are from a different dealer. Buyer beware.

I'm curious on why the drop from an 85 to a 75 series tire, I understand the increase to 265, but why the drop to 75? wouldn't I loose height doing this?
