Alignment

So I'm super finicky about a near perfect alignment. I just recently had an alignment done and it didn't pull at all but the steering wheel was crooked, tilted too far to the left. I had the alignment redone and now it's to far crooked to the right. Now, it's not overly drastic and could be tolerated but it's just one of those things that I like to have near perfect. If I lock the steering wheel in place and reposition it, will that effect the alignment. I do collision repair for a living and know the steps in doing so but just want to be sure about repositioning the wheel.

Yeah, the way to do it is get the wheels straight, pull the steering wheel and put it back on "right".

Another suggestion ... adjust each tie rod equally, just a little, until the wheel centers. This may be easier than pulling the steering wheel.

Your not alone ... I like my wheel to be perfectly centered also.

I am with you, when the steering wheel is off center it makes me drive too far to one side of the lane I am in, its wierd, if your going straight, your whell should be straight!
