Just went got New shoes for the truck and while they were changing the tires they point out a diff leak This is the last thing I need now cause I need the truck thursday to go get the 450 in oregon. It's not leaking from the cover but from where the drive shaft goes into the diff
I also just noticed that if I come to a complete stop and then go I feel this grinding sensation from my seat? What does this mean
Thanks
Nick
Rear diff seals, the ones that lead to the axles. I do think guzzle has a write up on his site with a how to. Either way not good, because you will be getting fluid on your brakes. Good luck on this one.
If you need to drive it soon tighten the yoke nut so there is a slight drag when you turn the yoke and add 90w140 oil to top. Tighten slowly & check, repeat. You can punch the theads on the pinion to help keep the nut tight if you can get in there. You should be OK.
