its pretty easy to change, I did mine in about five min. The hardest part is actually getting a wrench on it. Be warned though, when they say have the new one ready to go in the hole as soon as you get the old one out, do that. Have the new one in one hand and close to the hole when you are taking out the old one cause coolant comes out pretty fast once you get it out. Other than that its pretty simple, just don't bend the **** that comes off the top and you should be cool....

Make sure the engine is cool, or no pressure on cooling system. Remove wire, remove sending unit, install new sending unit(with some anti-sieze), reinstall wire. painless if engine is cool and no pressure in system.. painful if hot, I know.

Oh yeah no i was actually gonna empty the coolant cause i also have to replace my heater core again and there's a couple of hoses that need to be replaced too, plus i've noticed floating debris in my coolant when i take the cap off so i want to drain and strain it before it gets put back in there. Also does anyone know what the thing is behind the distributor cause it has a hose i need to replace but i can't find out what it is its almost like a t-conector it goes to the heater core lines.

Thanks
Kyle

The temp sender is for the gauge only and has one wire and is behind the distributor on the drivers side.

The ECT sensor has two wires and is for the computer and is near the coolant hoses and tubes. It is on the passenger side and in front of the distributor.

I do not understand witch one you want to change and why.
