I want to change my 78 F-150 to 1992 460 fuel injection. I would like to know how to do this and info on where to go for some parts. The truck has already had the 351m changed out for a 78 460 carb.

In '87 Ford changed the heads of the 460,
so getting a late model intake from an injected
460 is not the ideal situation, the port mismatch
will be huge...

I do have a new 460 engine ordered plus I have the intake and both are for the same year 1992. I just need to helpfull tips on installing everything and tips on where to go to find parts to do so. I want to run the 92 engine with my c-6 trans. What computer should I run? What is the easy way to wire it all up? and so on. I thankyou for any help anyone can give on this install.

Here's what I've found out so far...
You'll need a computer and wire harness
from a '92 460 with the 4/5 speed trans,
It shouldn't be to difficult to wire your
truck if you take good notes and lots of
photographs of where the harness lies in
the donor engine compartment...
