Hello again, everyone. Here is my question. Is it possible to remove the EFI components (plenum, fuel rails, throttle body, etc.) from a 351 Windsor (5.8L) from a 92 F150 and replace all that stuff with a standard intake and carburetor, such as an Edelbrock Performer intake? I've been told that the bolt pattern for the intake bolts are different on the EFI engine than on the non-EFI engine. Are the heads the difference? I know you'd also have to swap the distributor and brain box to make it all work. Thanks for the input.
accually my carbed 78 starts easier than my dad's efi grand am! the am barely turns in cold when my truck 1/2 a turn and it's ready to roar! id stay with the efi on your truck tho bud
If your 92 is anything like my 86, it gets crappy gas mileage anyway....and no-one will EVER be able to convince me that swapping that efi crap will result in ay worse gas mileage than it already gets.
I can be done, I did it with a 302. Go to the 87 to 96 ford trucks topic and look for the EFI to Carb post details on what to do are there. Otherwise email me."drockstar(No Email Addresses In Posts!)"
