She's only got 3 more left for the year though so she'll have to use them sparingly...lol.

I am glad she is doing well John and I pray for her everyday

Thank you my good friend. We have been blessed in many ways and especially when it comes to friends like you and so many others here at home and on FTE.

John, what was the issue with (is it your wife we're talking about?) her?

Hey Pat! My wife Jamie had a massive heart attack in June. Very fortunately, she has done remarkably well with her recovery and rehab and is doing great now. She is 44 and has none of the common risk factors associated with HA other than heredity. It was a real eye opener for all of us and has made us a lot more appreciative of the things we all seem to take for granted all too often.

She was about 150 yards from the local hospital when she started having chest pains so she got in quickly and within the "golden hour". They flew her to Kingsport, TN to one of the best cardiac hospitals anywhere. It's about 110 miles by car and the helicopter had her there in 29 minutes. She got absolutely outstanding care there and her prognosis is excellent. If the echocardiogram from yesterday shows the improvement they think it will, she will hopefully be able to discontinue some of her meds.

Scary time for all of us and a hell of a thing to have to explain to an 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son. But, it's all good now and she's doing great. Thanks for asking my friend.

John, I'm so glad to hear she is doing well! Man, that had to be scary, and her only being 44. That must have been damn tough on the kids, but it's great that she is doing good!

Thanks Pat! Yeah it was a real shocker alright. It's a good thing that kids are so resilient. It has been tough but they have done great with it, especially for their ages. She and we are truly blessed and very lucky. She's done her cardiac rehab and it has done wonders for her stamina and energy. We're walking pretty much nightly now and when I'm working, she walks with her parents or her friends.

It made me realize just how much I take for granted on a daily basis though. It also helped me make some lifestyle changes. I never really ate bad before but I've changed my diet and increased my exercise. Little things can really make a difference.

John....I'm also very glad to hear that your wife is doing so well. She was very lucky. God bless her, you and your family for hanging in there and staying strong.

Not a problem with helping out on the meet stuff. I'm glad to do it. Especially since I've been here on FTE for six years and have never met any of you guys. My bad
I really hope I get to see you all. It might be just a fly by if that's alright, since it's possible I won't be able to hang out for too long.

Thanks so much Robin. I really would love to make it to one of the meets....maybe one of these days. I am planning on being in Carlisle next year though so it would be great to be able to see all of you there!
