1987 F250 carburated 460 duel tanks, Truck will start and run until the carb bowl empties than it must be restarted, when I run a hot wire from the fuse box to the fuel pumps at the dash board selector switch the pumps run fine. Ive replaced the six port selector valve and the restricter valve up near the carburetor. Is there a relay that moves power from start to run cycle that I cant find in my Haynes Manuel? Thank you for the help.

Sorry, not part of this thread, but I was wondering if you had more info on the 6-port selector valve. I have an 86 F-250 and ordered a replacement. They gave me a KEM FTV5 Fuel Tank 6-port valve but it looks nothing like the original and has only a single post electrical connection unlike what it should have. Where/What did you get from where?

Initially I went to Auto Zone but the plug on their six port valve did not match up so I went to Santa Monica Ford, CA. I have been told that 87 was the last year a carb was used, so a lot of auto part store pull out EFI parts.
