Yesterday my buddy from Idaho spent the day at our place so he and I could install the AFE intake I picked up for him from another member. Last time I talked to him was in my pre DP Tuner days, and I've told him about it several times so he was excited to see what was up. (FYI, he drives an 00 F250 ex cab shorty 4x4 6 speed that he bought new and only has 88k on... truck still looks like it just came off the showroom floor). He really liked the clean, near OEM look of the JMS in-dash mount and he wanted to go for a ride to see how much difference it made. I fired it up and we jumped in, and did a nice casual cruise until the water temps came up and found a nice straight stretch of road. I put the switcher in stock and matted it, no big surprises there. Then I stopped, put it in 80e and did the same... first thing he did was turn his head to watch the smoke roll through the mirror, then swung around real quick and looked at the dash and my other gauges, then looked at me with this "HOLY &^#T BATMAN!!!" look and his eyes were about as big as a softball We played around for a while in the 100, 120, 140 tunes too.
Long story short, I think I sold a DP Tuner this weekend
Nothing like an actual demo to enlighten someone! I have been telling some of my friends about the DP tuner, and they pretty much just dismiss it as another one of those over hyped chips that don't actually do any thing. I really need to get them into my truck for some demos.
I am sure Jody and Diane appreciate the endorsement. It really does sell itself when you have someone sitting in the passenger seat of a chipped truck.
