OT My Weekend!

Well i started school this week... its all fine and dandy...

My truck's water pump took a **** on the way home from school on Wednesday, so I have been drving a duramax around all week.. its pretty nice, but I like my Powerjoke!

So i got an entry into Arm Drop Live (same as pinks all out, without the cameras). So I drop the trailer off at the track to let the trailers be stacked on Wednesday at 5 PM. Already in the fourth row to get in the gates on Friday...

Come back on friday and i put different jets in the carb, redid some suspension, and a few little odds and ends. Got the car teched and then I had to wait to get down the track. We were allowed two Testing passes and then the Third was a Qualifier...

Car ran consistant. 12.30s all day long. NO problems at all, decided to take the front caliper apart though, because that tire was haveing resistant issues. Turns out nothing was fixed, but I did bleed the brakes like three times.. lol

So come back on saturday and get two more qualifying passes and If im picked I get to do an arm drop pass. The two qualifying passes were 12.31 and 12.36.

We had the drivers meeting and sure enough, my car number got called! I was one of the 64 drivers that was in the "Close Class"... Well close is bull****, because the cars were from 11.50 to 12.50... thats alot of difference, but we did not know that til afterwards.

Turns out I lined up against a 11.70 truck... So I had no chance at all on winning, but I did have a good time! The car went down the track every time I asked it to, it did not break and will be out there on Wednesday too!

Here are some pictures, and videos will come a little later.

All in all a good weekend! I have now fixed my truck and am ready for what ever next week throws at me... I hope on Wednesday the car runs as well as this weekend. I am going to let Jeff my buddy who has helped me alot on the car take it down the track a few times.

That brings back many memories. 11.50-12.50 is a huge difference. Was the promoter smoking the crack pipe? Maybe they should watch Pinks so they will have a clue for the next time.

Your car looks real clean. Just remember to have fun. Winning is great, but we don't get to win all of time.

Well Rich Christiansen Is the guy who does it all... but 11.50 to 12.50 is big difference, but im happy that I made it out there, had a good time, did not break, and made it into the final 64 cars out of 400+....

Another thing I have for gotten to mention was that this is at 5840 ft altitude with density altitudes of nearly 8000 ft... So corrected for sealevel my car on motor alone is a 10.80-11.00 car and its built for nitrous... I just never have used the nitrous...

This next test and tune or after that, I am really thinking i am going to hit it with just a 100 shot and see what happens...

Lookin good. Having a whole second difference in the times seems pretty rediculous though...

You're living the dream. Someday I'll make a few quarter mile passes I hope. Stay in school!
