Right you guys are, and the heat is record breaking. Heat index or not, anything over 95, is too hot to be out in the sun. I am stuck in Texas for another 2 weeks or so, so I am in the pool 4 ot 5 hours a day, and in the shade almost all the time. When in Baja, we try to fish from 0600 am to 10 am, and be off the water before noon. Even though we have shade, the reflection off the water is a killer, and can literally burn your nostrils. I wear one of those bandito looking sun block shirts, with hood and face mask and polarized sun glasses. The water is like a mirror at times.

Haven't had much time to play with the truck much. Actually spent some time this week, doing a couple of upgrades on my Harbor Freight sandblaster. Man, wish I would have done this years ago, made a huge difference! Blasted the pieces for the fuel filler compartment, going to prime and paint this weekend.

looks fine amigo... for small parts, and small areas they are the bomb.. Way way better than a wire wheel... I bought one from Grainger years ago and use a 20/30 mix most of the time, although, on occasion, I have gone up a dry arroyo, found a clean sand pocket, and taken several bucket loads home. I sift it through a fine piece of window screen, and use it from there... works ok..

Well, it's been long enough, time for the triumphant return of some updates on here! Worked so much last summer, barely had time at all. Should be much better this year, being on shifts this summer. One new update from this past Spring, decided that the tailgate I had was just in too poor of shape, so, pulled the trigger, and ordered a new one from Dennis Carpenter. And it's beautiful!

Looking fine Pat, and glad to see you are still at it on your truck. Mine is still running, and keeping me busy with minor upkeep. Recently topped off the A/C freon, and did not know that R-12 and R-134 can be mixed, with no changes to compressor or system. Never knew that, but my A/C guy here said "No problemo"... so we topped the old R-12, with R-134, and presto, 42 degree temp air from the unit. Good to know, eh?

I am soooo jealous amigo. I have needed one many a time, but never found one when I was headed down Baja with room for it. in the truck..
Things all peachy here in Baja Sur (Southern Baja). Most evenings, a truck with loud speakers, drives around town, reminding people to stay home... 9pm curfew, $350 fine if you are caught out... No covid here, but some coviditis, still don't get it, and pile a bunch in a car, and get caught by the cops, and all but one has to walk home... If it ever makes it here, and gets a toe hold, we are deep dodo, as there just isn't the infrastructure to handle it... All the towns down here are shut down, with cops at the entrances, turning away all but the town's residents. No outsiders allowed to enter.
