check engine light at low rpms
when i am doing low rpms, such as doing about 30 in third gear, my check engine light will go on and sometimes the truck feels like it wants to stop. what could this be? i would have the codes checked but the check engine light turns off once i start moving faster. any ideas? -thanks

The check engine light does not have to be on to check for codes in CM.
Also you can run the KOEO sensor test and the KOER solenoid test.

Sounds like your EGR valve may be stuck open.

my truck (93 f150 5.0L 5 speed) does the same thing. i not sure what the codes were but if i remember right its the egr valve that is not working right. dont quote me but i think thats your problem. hope this helps
