Remove navigation on 06 Navigator

Hello, has anybody eny experience removing the factory head unit on a 06 Gator? I want to bypass the lockout on the navigation and need access to the wiring behind the factory unit. How do I take it out of there?

I just had my head unit out this weekend doing a Motorola T605 Bluetooth. Let me see if I can remember the steps....

Always disconnect he negative battery terminal.

1. Open the center console and pop out the plastic tab holding the window switches
2. Carefully pop the window switch unit off and disconnect the wiring harness.
3. Pop the chrome bezel from around the shifter
4. Remove the two black head bolts (7 or 8 mm, I think) and remove the plastic from around the shifter (works best with shifter in D - you'll need it there later anyway)
5. Disconnect the cig lighter
5. Looking down towards the cig lighter, you will see two more bolts holding the fascia around the radio on.
6. Carefully pull out the fascia surrounding the radio. You'll need to "work" it a little to get it out.
7. Disconnect the clock (probably the most difficult part) and the EVAC controls wiring harness.
8. The head unit is exposed now. 3 small nuts holding it in place and it's out.

It's really pretty simple but don't drop anything into the shifter black hole. I've got a 8mm ratchet head down there I hope works its way out someday.

I think that's it. I'm sure someone will add or correct me if I missed something.
