A.I.R. Pump

My pump is making a loud whinning noise so I think I am going to replace it, should I replace the bypass valve and check valve as well?

I would make sure the check valve is working. If it lets exhaust up into the pump, that's what will ruin them over time.

Well I replaced the AIR pump but the noise did not go away. It is from that side of the engine. The Alt and Starter have been replaced, but the high pitch whinning is still going on. The noise is in conjuction with the reving the engine. There is nothing over there except the exhaust manifold and shroud and tube assembly, but that is where the noise is coming from.

Any idea's?

bad Altenator, second one in two years, bearing were worn out, must have over tightened it last time.
