coolant filter question

can i use the coolant supply from the 3/8 coolant line from right side of in take to the degas bottle

My filter is from dieselsite.com and the inlet is connected to the upper heater hose close to the oil fill tube and the outlet is connected in the line which connects the radiator to the degas bottle.
