I have a 2009 Escape with about 3000 miles. We drove from Dallas to KC this weekend. On the return trip a message saying "tire pressure sensor fault" came on. We stopped to check the tire pressures. There were all just fine. We got back on the highway. After a while the light went out and never came back on for the last 3-4 hours of driving.
I have seen reported issues on earlier Expy models with the strap sensors but not on the Escapes with the newer RF sensors. Has anyone else had this happen on their newer Escape?
I really like the way this Escape rides and handles on the highway. One of very few cars I have been able to ride in for 9 hours and not get uncomfortable. We averaged about 27 mpg for the trip @ 70-74 mph on cruise.
