My 1978 speedo with a E4OD tranny.

what year e4od? i know that 91 and older e4od had a speedo drive that fits the same speedo head as a c6. you could have the newer ones converted back by changing the tail housing and output shaft.

btw, the ouput shaft comes out of the front of the trans (bellhousing) so if it is something you want to attempt then you might look into what a trans shop would charge. also if it matters, the older ones used a rod linkage to shift and yours uses a cable, might look into that before you take your trans in.
