Hello all! I really need some help tuneing my edlelbrcok 1405 profromer carb. I do not know how to do this. The little book that it came with. Says turn one screw then turn the other.... Oh well that helps. When I got the damn thing out of the box one of the screws was hanging out! Ready to run out of the box my ***! I've played and played with this damn thing for over 5 months. I called edlebock but hung up after I was on hold for 53 minits! I asked the guys at the auto parts store and all I got was a Duuh! trun the little screws. I'm all most ready to start crying now. Can any one help me with this please...
Well I,m not real good at it myself but I'll try. I use a tach and a vacuum gauge. Start on one side and slowly turn a/f screw in until idle starts to drop, back it back out until you get the highest idle and vacuum. Do the same to other side and keep going back and forth until you get the best idle and vacuum. You may need to reset curb idle on the linkage after you finsh. If you can't get a smooth idle I'd check for vacuum leaks on all hose, intake and carb base. Also might want to check your base timing. Hope I helped instead of hurt.
