Hey everyone, new to the site and I've been lurking for around since April.
I inherited a Big Window '59 F-100 from my Father who passed away from Leukemia Oct. '08. I plan on keeping the Truck mostly Stock as it was my Dad's daily driver since he bought it in '64 (I didn't come along till '68 so you can imagine the memories for me.) Currently the truck sits with a 292 Y-Block with 3 on the tree. I've upgraded the front brakes to disk with a CPP kit and am working on the plumbing. The Cab has the normal rust problems, otherwise the body is in great shape. The rest of the truck has some of Dad's "inventive" fixes, but it was running. I plan on adding power steering (ala Toyota 4x4 box,) dual exhaust (Sanderson I think,) self adjusting rear brakes, and a motor refresh (maybe a little overbore/hopefully with local Y-Guy,) but that's about it. My dad never threw anything away and we have yet to enter the "garage" where from the door I can see rocker arms and the original 292 (currently truck has a '62 block.)
I'd like to thank you for all the help you have already given me and let you know this site is my goto when I've got questions, you guys/gals are great!
