Cup Holders Needed!

Hi there,

I've got an '89 F450 SD regular cab. A couple of years ago I decided to put some money into the old girl, because I just couldn't justify 5-7 years of paying for a new truck. She's been a hard worker so I decided to fix her up.

The only problem is that With the regular cab, space is at a premium, especially for drinks. I did find a set of bucket seats with a center console out of an '03 F250 at the wrecker, but I think the seats would take up too much room in the cab. If not, feel free to advise. I did some measuring, but it looks tight.

So, I'm looking for ideas on how to get a couple of cup holders into the cab. I've looked at various auto supply stores, but they're all pretty lame.

Right now I've just got a standard straight bench seat with a plain solid backrest.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Barry

Did you see this thread? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...cupholder.html

She put cup holders in to the middle flip down arm rest on a mid 80s-mid 90s F150 seat. It looks simple enough to do and came out very clean.

Worst case, put in a pair of bucket seats and build a console with a flip up/down jump seat. You could also just put cup holders on sliders and push them in/out of the console.

I'd also look into the boating shops and catalogs, not to mention the "poker table" suppliers.

Then build a console to fit.

Ford has an oem console that can be retrofitted very easily. Check the salvage yards
