If so, just guesssing trying to help, but would think you could disconnect from the head unit up front or find the routing back to the back and clip & tape off the wires...
The two sets of rear speakers(rear doors and cargo area) are tied together at the head unit. I don't know where they split off. They are hooked in parallel and would just like to disconnect the ones in the cargo area. Just looking for the easy way to do it without having to pull the two panels(and everything else)in the cargo area. Thanks-John
i actually pulled the panels....... i tried finding diagrams on the net (probably didn't look hard enough), and went to a stereo shop on the way threw town....... for $150 they would do it....... HAHAHA yea right.....
so one afternoon i just took the panel off and took the speaker out, unplugged the factory plug, took the speaker completely out, and put everything back together.
i put 4 6.5" in the doors, and 2 Polk 6x9's in the cargo area in a box..... the polk 6x9's sounds great just being powered by the head unit, BUT they can handle 300watt peak, and 100watt rms, so i'm looking at putting an amp to them, and calling it good for now. with the right amp they hit pretty hard for a set of 6x9's IMO!
why do you want them disconnected? I have 6 kenwood digital amps and 3 sets of jl xr650's, and the stock cargo speakers. they still work. never touched them.
I disconnect mine by snipping the wires. If you pull the carpet back just beyond the rear doors you should see the wires, snip snip, then tuck the carpet back in.
