Rear traction bars?
Does anyone have rear traction arms/bars installed on their Ex?
I just had a new drive shaft made and the machinist told me I should get some rear traction aid installed for my rear spring wrap.
Do they make kits for our trucks?
Thanks,
Jerry D

Sure, there are lots out there. Just don't get ones that sit too low if you do offroading.

Best working bars that won't bind the suspension and work well at eliminating axle wrap are One Up Offroad .
If you rock crawl you may not like them. I don't rock crawl so they work great on my 07 F-350
The majority of other aftermarket traction bars I've seen have design flaws that bind the suspension and/or don't eliminate axle wrap well.

I never owned any but I know there are many to choose from and many hang to low for offroading. I'm sure someone will chime in with ideas for you.

I run the OUO bolt on traction bars (not the block setup). They also have a weld on axle bracket.

Nice I doubt if they would last on the back roads around here.

Off the top of my head RIZE industries have a cool looking tract bar setup.

Rize may look cool.....but they do bind under certain conditions, as do other triangulated bars with a shackle mount at the frame.

All 4WD Excursions came with OEM snubber-type traction bars ... they are those half-leaf things in the rear spring-packs which work only when accelerating.

Yes, and don't rule out ladder bars ... they perform the same function.

I bought the OUO Bolt On's from DCSpecial. A+ on the parts - A+ on the service.

cficare,
With an 8 inch lift the Devildog hasn't had the stock traction bar for some time. And it wouldn't work with any non-stock (X) spring pack.
