Distributer plugs

I've noticed the 87 to 91 distributer has a different plug than the 92 to 96 one

is there a way I can wire up the newer style distributer to the older style wire harness .... 6 wires go into the old plug and 7 wires go into the new one ? has anyone ever done this ?

You would have to wire in a remote-mount TFI module in order to run the 92-up distributor in an 87-91 truck.

I dont know what that is... and how would I do it
