I'm putting a 302 in my 52 F3 this weekend and I wanted to see some pics of others that have done the same. I keep looking at the steering box and hoping the sanderson headers I ordered are going to work. Can someone with the same type truck with a 302 or 351w post a couple pics for me? Mainly the headers and the clearance for the steering. Thanks.
Which Sanderson headers did you get? I was recommended the FF2 and even asked twice if they would clear. Of course the drivers side hit. The FF1 should clear. Since I've changed my chassis I'm glad I have the FF2 though.
I don't really have header pictures. First pic is my 302 in original frame and 2nd is of my later frame. I like how the 302 fit much better.
Thanks for the reply. I was told the ff2 would fit too so I ordered them over the phone. A few days later I took some measurements and it didn't look like the ff2 headers would fit. I looked at their website and it recommended the ff1 so after reading your reply I called them and told them the problem. They sent me a set of the ff1 and I should get them by wednsday. Thanks again.
I'm putting a 460 in my 55f250, I ordered headers from sanderson at the begining of the month 8/3/2009 I still have no headers (ups ground) I talked to the folks at sanderson, they told me they shipped on the 21st, my invoice shows they shipped on the 7th, they told me I should get them by the 1st of next month. How long did it take for you to get your headers?
I ordered the first set (the wrong ones) almost 2 weeks ago (8/17) but they didn't ship them until a week later (8/24). They shipped it last monday and my ups tracking says I will get them this comming monday (8/30). The second ones they shipped yesterday (8/27) and I should get them on wednsday (9/2). I had to call them a couple times to find out what was going on with my first order.
My invoice says they shipped on the 7th of this month, but when I e-mailed them they told me if I didn't get them by 19th to call them, so I did when my headers didn't show, then they told me they shipped on the 21st, should be here be the 1st of the month, not sure what is going on.

Were you able to get a tracking number from them? I don't see why it should take so long to get theose headers shipped out to you.
They didn't give me a tracking, although the person I talked to said he was tracking it from where he was at, guess I should of asked, at any rate they should be here today.

Good. I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow and I can't wait. I'll put some pics in my gallery as soon as I get them on.
Just curious how are the Sandersons "rough"? I've installed dozens of headers and seen many more (I work in an exhaust shop). I haven't seen any that come close to the build quality of the Sandersons. I know they aren't top of the line race headers but those go for over $1000 pair.
Got some slag on some of the tubes, someone could have spent a little more time cleaning up the welds in my opinion, for the time and money spent.
I agree. They aren't a bad looking and they fit great. There;s just some spatter and some welds that could have been cleaned up some. It's nothing that can't be fixed. Overall I'm happy with mine. It's just that they were a little rough.
