swapping steering wheels

Anyone know if a 53-56 factory steering wheel will fit the column of a '57?? They appear identical and the price is perfectly right. This will cure the JB Weld glue issue I have if it works!

It should work. According to my limited notes the splines were the same from 49-57 but don't buy one based on my information as I would not want to be responsible for "steering" you in the wrong direction (pun intended). The 58-60 is different. Let me know if it doesn't work so I can correct my notes...
