Fuel Injection System
I own a 190 Ford F350, 7.3 Diesel. It runs good I am getting 15 miles to the gallon, and the power is great I have felt no change in its performance. The problem is this. When I am moving it runs good, when I stop after about 20 to 30 seconds it starts to run rough like a miss. Now it has 184K miles. I brought her in April of 2002, and after buying it I replace all the return fuel line "O" rings on the injectors as well as cleaned them I did not take them apart. I did this because I had a small leak on one of the injectors so I did them all. I also replaced the return fuel lines. After doing this it still ran just as good. Then a few weeks ago it started running rough only when sitting still. I replace the "O" going from the fuel filter line to the back of the injector pump. Still no change. I have the orginal system on the truck as far as I know. I am being told the injector pump is not holding the pressure, which may be true or a injector is not firing. Any other suggestion as the cause, and are the injection pump that hard to rebuild?
