Hey guys,
Does anyone still make just the Fuel Crossover Kit? Or have they all gone to the Regulated Return?
Like to help out my new injectors but not at the price of the RR kits.

I don't think there were many suppliers for the FCL. I got mine from Long Island Performance Diesel about 3 years ago. If they don't have it, they may be able to point you to someone who does.
I dont think you will find something as cheap as a rear cross over to help the injectors. To make your own isn't that expensive but you got to be careful with the fittings you choose for the rear ports.
Trusted performance makes a kit. I have been thinking about geting one but am not sure how extreme I may go one my fuel system. Thinking of redoing the whole thing from the tank to the heads with an IAr DOg or FASS system
Was it worth putting in? Just looking for a way to keep the truck healthy without the big cost of a RR kit.
I can't quantify any benefits I have received from the FCL. It is one of those things that makes me feel good and makes sense to do since the fuel dead ends in the heads. I have been toying with the idea of cutting the FCL and installing a drain valve so when I change fuel filters I can turn on the fuel pump, open the FCL drain valve and purge the head fuel rails of any air before I start the motor. I will have to think about that more.
As for installation, the plugs you remove from the heads to install the line I believe are the same plug used to drain the fuel filter. Anyway, the driver side is fairly easy to install. The passenger side is difficult because you have to loosen the turbo Y pipe from the exhaust manifold and move it out of the way. Be gentle when doing this.
A bottle of crown to the mechanic at the dealership when he had my turbo off to fix is what it cost me, well worth it IMO. He did say it was a PITA though.
That is a story in itself. I did a google search and wouldn't you know it a forum thread on this site came up. Granted it was over a year old, I thought what the heck I will try it. So I replied with a personal note to the person and he still had it. He sold it to me for a hundred bucks including shipping. I dont think I could have got any luckier. My friend got his off of ebay but I couldnt find one on there. I couldn't even get a hold of the people he got his from either and he paid 99 dollars plus shipping which wasnt much. I cant believe they cost that much now. If I get a chance I will do some searching and see what I can come up with.
So Tex & Kep was it a bad product or just a bad company? I did a back search on here and only found a couple of posts about the crossover line but nothing bad. I tried the link to LIPD but no longer available.
Was this just a trial item and didnt do well? Now the market is for RR kits? My truck is still in warranty & dont think dealer would help out if I did a full RR kit, but if just a crossover he may see the benfits & still help me when needed.
Oh no, the product wasn't bad, in fact there are quite a few on here that use them and would suggest them. I use the RR kit, but that's because I don't think the crossover is sufficient to support the mods that I have.
It was really the company that started to go bad, in fact, not long after DSMMH seems to have gotten his crossover. Given what was going on round that time, I'm actually surprised that he got his equipment. I think they were closed up almost 2 yrs ago, but they were having customer service issues that last year. Or atleast that's what my recollection is.
