I thought it was only only side and i put a new caliper on and it was fine for a bit then started to stick again. so i checked just now cause it did it again on my way home and jacked up both front wheels off the ground and they are both siezed on... so what do i do now what is wrong with it??? and it is the brakes that are seized on cause there super hot so i dont think it is something in the axle...
Did you check and lubricate or replace the slide pins or bolts? AKA mounting bolts. Look at guzzle's writeup on this. They should return on their own unless you left the springs out and even then it should not lock up. You may want to seriously inspect your hub bearings.
Long time ago, I used to drive a cheby, the brake calipers would not release, the wheels got to be super hot........ I replaced both of the rubber brake hoses between the calipers and the steel lines on the frames and it solved MY problem.... In my case I was just able to push some brake fluid thru to the calipers while applying the brakes, but it it would never go the other way causing the calipers not to relase... The rubber hoses were hosed!
Well as quick as I read my post I realized that you probably do not have a hub bearing problem. That will grind. You need to look at your brakes as they are locking up in the slide pins. I am all but sure that is the problem since you have a new caliper on one side. Worst case is your fluid is contaminated and causing the pistons to seize up.

Interesting point, but reminds me of the problem with motorcycle brakes which results in a spongy brake, not one that locks up. I could be wrong but rubber hose does not lock up brakes to my knowledge. Stuck calipers or caliper pistons do though.
I should of put a little more info, This has been an on going problem for a while. it's not the brake pins they are good I re-greased them a couple months ago. they won't stick all the time it will work fine and then they will start to stick for a bit and if i keep driving it will go away and it will be totally fine... it was on a 2 hour drive and it only was sticking for about 10 to 15 min then worked fine.. I heard that the rubber hoses can break down and cause the brakes to stick but I can't see that happening to both front brakes at the same time...

When I looked at the old hoses the rubber was so far gone that you could hardly see the hole thru which the brake fluid had to go. I'm sure it was just the cheby thing I'm sure the quality of the rubber is much better now, the truck I had was a '84 and the brake fluid I used was Castrol GT....
One way to check if the rubber lines are bad is to crack open the brake bleed nipple at the caliper and see if the caliper releases..... (YOU MIGHT HAVE TO BLEED THE BRAKES IF YOU GET SOME AIR INTO THE SYSTEM !!)

They should never stick, replace them. Guzzle has the part number for that. Most dealersips have no idea what you will be talking about but they can get it. Partsguyed can too for a decent price.

I just want to know if they is anyway to findout exactly what is causing this before i start buying new parts to see if it fixes it, which I already did with buying the new caliper thinking it was just the one side sticking and found out it is both sides. I've tried doing some searching and can only really find people with the read brakes sticking from the hydroboost or the proportioning valve???? any more ideas would be great I don't want to take it to the garage and have them guess at it and start throwing parts on it....
Well this whole time I thought it was just my front brakes but it was my rear brakes as well but they weren't sticking as bad as the front. The mechanic i took it to says my mastercylinder and hyroboost need to be replaced which just parts alone is about 800 bucks. i do most of my work myself which i will be doing this myself i just don't want to buy this stuff and put it on and find out they are still doing it. so just want to know if anyone has heard of this happening and if this caused the problem before i go and buy the parts......
I have been having trouble with my brakes sticking after I apply the brakes. For about 2 seconds I can feel them dragging. So far I have replaced the 2 rear cylinders, rear drum, rear pads, all the e-brake cables, front calipers, rotors and pads. and flushed new fluid thru the lines. Could the master cylinder be not releasing pressure after apply the brakes? I'm not sure how the system releases the pressure.
