Oh No Joe, Say it ain't so.... We have two swap meets coming up on September 20th!!! One is at Consumnes College in Elk Grove. The other is at the fair grounds in Auburn. What a quandry! Which one should I go to?
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go to both.
Then on the 27th, there is another one just south of Towe Auto Museum in Sacramento.
Man I miss a good swap meet. I haven't been to a good one in years. Maybe one day I'll go with my dad who goes to Hershey every year. I've got a bit of goodies to get rid of: 5 bolt cast steel NHRA APP scattershield for a 260 or 289, a big block Ansen NHRA APP cast steel scattershield, front and back seats for a Falcon convert, Toploader parts, rear ends, doors fenders... the list goes on!
Cue the Twilight Zone opening... My dad called me last night and asked me to go to the Hayward Horseless Carriage Club swap meet with him on Sunday. He's going to sell the 1915 Metz he had to buy in conjunction with the 1939 convertible sedan he got. He needed someone to "man the space" while he hits the parts for sale.
I've got some stuff to sell and it'll be funny to watch all the antique car guys suck up to my dad who's the current National President of The Horseless Carriage Club of America!
I sold a scattershield. A hydroformed one like a lakewood. Got a hundred bucks. Dad sold a '39 am radio for two hundred and had people peeking and poking his Metz all day. Does anyone know if Fun Ford Sunday has a swap meet?
