> Question for those who have used the NAPA premium brand for replacement
> I got the NAPA ones today and the lowers have a hole for the grease fitting but are not threaded????
> Seems strange?? Before i take them back and act strange i wanted to know if everyone's was not threaded.
> Did you just tap them out or jam the fitting in (not liking this idea)
> Seems poor quality for $74/ piece.
alot of them are self tapping, just dont crank it down till the fitting seats if you feel to much resistance otherwise you may break the fitting , not a big deal
Its been a while, but I believe my NAPA Premiums came with un-threaded holes.
They also came with a 90degree fitting and also a plug fitting, because the 90degree fitting hit the knuckle (or axle tube flanges ??). I put the 90degree fitting to the bench grinder for a moment, and it fit.
I've taken multiple sets of them out of the boxes in the warehouse and compared them to each other to see what the difference was and to check on the manufacturing of them.
I posted my original post because I enjoy hanging out on the board with you guys, and we have a decent part that I felt would help save some of the members a few bucks.

What did your metallurgical analysis show? What kind of processes were used to form the parts? It's a tough crowd tonight.

Have a great weekend,

Tony, I'm just wondering how you can say your brand of BJs are as good as Moogs. Have you seen extensive tests, reviews by qualfied sources, etc.
I'd be shocked if there weren't low cost China suppliers these days.
You know, I don't know what ever happened to TRW? I used to work for TRW and after I left they were purchased by Northrop Grumman. I don't remember Northrop Grumman having any interest in the automotive business, just missile and aerospace systems. Was the TRW automotive brand name sold off?
