Tip on Changing The Fuel Filter on...

a 94 302. The problem is the tank side fuel line. It's a tight fit. There has to be a trick to it...

Thanks in advance

the bracket that holds the fuel filter comes off. it is a tight squeeze to get your fuel line disconnects in, but taking the bracket off makes changing the filter alot easier. i didnt find out it came off until after i wresteled mine into the mounted bracket though . That fuel line you're talking about was a pain for me, but i just got my disconnect partially in and rotated it and pushed etc until it came out. Just don't force anything and be patient

Also when trying to disconnect, them although many sources say you should hear a click, you probably won't. Assuming this is the first time you've done it, helpful info, if not well... disregard me...

Also if yours are like mine you may need something to pry the line off once you got it disconnected, but make sure you have it disconnected before you pry. You could damage the teeth.

i didnt hear a click either. also, make sure you push the fuel line in towards the tool then push the tool and fuel line together out away from the filter. makes it alot easier than just pushing the tool in while pulling the line
