Transmission fluid
I got a 89 f250 with a c6 transmission. about every 2 months im about a quart and a half low on transmission fluild i did a fluid change when i got the truck so i have new filter and gasket. I dont see any leaks. I'm not leaving puddles anywhere. Is this just what big trucks do. ive never had a auto before so just wondering. This is my everyday driver. and i do mostly stop and go driving. truck has about 150,000 on it

Smoking just a tad? Sucking trans fluid up the shift modulator line? Might have a small crack in the diaphragm, not quite enough to keep it from shifting but leaks fluid by it. I'd just replace it, not expensive anyway.

it doesnt smoke but if it did just a bit i couldn't tell. tinted window and no tailpipes. Does anybody know a good shift modulator? I looked at advance auto's web site and they have one with a green strip and a purple strip. Any differnce? I also got under there and looked i saw a alot of black build up right after the tailshaft on the body so i think i need a seal back there to. Going to replace both.
