I have a 98 F-150 4.6 not pos on transmission type but it slips after about 1/2 mile of driving, but works ok in reverse. Your going to have to supply more info..Is the Tranny fluid color pink or brown,does it smell burnt? how many miles are on it,has a transmission service ever been done,Leaks? etc.

 

Tran fluid looks not brown almost new, serviced about 25000 miles no leaks full of fluid no burnt smell.
