Well I guess I'll start a thread on my 70 F250 4x4 crewcab rebuild. I don't have a lot of time to spend on it but I HAVE to get going before it turns to a pile of rust.
So here is the before pic
What's been done so far:
-Completely rebuilt and balanced 390
-NV 4500 swap
-Rebuilt Dana 24 tcase
-76 Dana 44 disc brake front with 4.10 gears and powerlocker
-Dana 60 rear with homefabbed disc brake conversion 4.10 and powerlocker
-Superlift softride 4" springs
-Rear swaybar from 81? F350 installed
-Cab tank removed and custom tank fabbed to fit between driver's frame rail and driveline
-Headers with dual 2.5" into single 3" Magnaflow exiting in front of passenger wheel
-crossover steering using 79 F250 box
-remote door locks
I have it completely torn apart right now and I'm in the process of sandblasting and painting diff, springs, then chassis, cab, bed, etc, etc.
The body will be yellow again, I saw a new mustang with an orange yellow color that I really like. Bumpers, wheels, and some interior pieces will be dark grey.
I don't have much for progress pics right now but I will get some as I go
My '70 Crew Cab High Boy was recently finished............. but I still find some little thing that somehow got overlooked every now and then. Be prepared for a surprise or two and take your time to fix the surprises as you go...... lots easier sometimes then, instead of now!
