Thumbs up Met another FTE person today

Well, I met FTE member John Lang (jlang) today. Nice kid, great folks. Ddin't really get to meet the brothers too well, as my kids quickly snatched em up to play guns, or whatever it was they were playing. So, the Langs stopped by to pick up a few parts for his '56 project. They checked out the Big Job, and talked a bit about the cars they're in to. It kind of reminds me of when I was working on my first truck, back in high school. Lots of questions, and that look that says "tell me more." I pointed out a few tips on body work, from when I was a wing prep tech at Cesna. Now, we got to get him to post up some pictures. Back in May, I met up with a few Oregon Chapter members for a little GTG at my house. It's very cool, actually, to get the opportunity to meet the different people that make up this wonderful site. I've known the Carls (texan2004, and C-700) for several years now, and it just really helps to get a better understanding of all the different personalities that make this world tick. Keep up the work John, and when you get frustrated, vent it to us, we're all here. I hope them parts help you get that much closer.

Joe,
Its always cool to meet other truck fanatics, especially FTE members. I've been pretty fortunate and have met several. Like you, I have met and had dealings with Carl (Texan2004) who is one heck of a great guy. I've met him a few times in both my town and in his town and have always had a great time.
I've also met several members of FTE in my town both from the 48-60 forum and the later years forums. It's always fun and worth the effort to do the whole meet and greet thing.
In New Mexico we have a local chapter that I am a member of, not an active member as they tend to be more late model orientated than I am but they are still a great bunch and are alot of fun.

If any of you FTE members get a chance to meet someone close to you...my advice is to do it. You will make a great friend.

Bobby
