Today while i was gone my wife's uncle tried "fixing my truck" when i get home to try to isolate the problem i find a few things to be off. I found a Vaccum line cut on my truck the distribtor cap laying off the distributor and i found two connectors hanging down from under neath the dash. Needless to say i am pissed and now i dont know what caused it to stop running before Uncle JAMES worked on it. Here are some pictures maybe you guys can help.
One Cut Vaccum Line
The Other Cut Vaccum Line
Two Connectors hanging down
The top two pictures look related to your purge valve selinoid, but it is hard to see clearly where everything is going to or from with all the different hoses. Also it looks like the purge valve is present but a hose is going to the spot in the throttle body already without the purge vavle in place.
The two wires hanging down, I have not a clue cause my truck is a different model year. Try looking under the dash and see if something was removed recently. If the connectors are aged the same in all spots (that is there isnt a spot inside that lookes like it is shiney while the rest are discolored) they are probably extra factory wires not used in your truck.
Yea real hard to say from the pictures but to me it looks like the purge valve was removed and a straight piece of line was put in its place right passed it. Is the other end of that line connected to anything, opposite the purge valve itself? looks like the other end is just sticking out there in nowheresville near the lower intake hose at the TB.
The electrical connectors, door buzzer and trailer brake control perhaps? If so neither one is needed.
Yea I don't blame ya, I be plenty pissed too......
You have a "no start" I take it, start from scratch.
Check for spark and fuel, one should lead you to the problem, then you can work out the vac issues if needed.
Oh I see you have the other end in your hand in the first shot, both them hoses connected to that little canister type deal there behind the heater hose, the purge valve?
