Ok, first, welcome to FTE and the Big Bronco Forum.
Let's establish a couple of things first. What model year is your truck (assuming it is a Bronco)? Which fuse is blowing? (They are numbered on the door of the fuse block). Can you make the fuse break by applying the brakes or turning some lights on or does it take time before the fuse blows?
With these additional details we may be able to narrow down the problem.
ok its a full size 1990 bronco the fuse that keeps blowing is position 1 stop/hazard lamps:speed control. before i put in the new switch only a few lights would go on .now that i put the new switch in it takes a while to blow the fuse i think it is then i step on the breaks and or turn lamp is on
Have you recently done any wiring work on your truck near the tail lights? If not I would check to see if you have a wire that is bare somewhere between the driver and the taillights that may touch metal occasionally.
it just started all of a sudden i have done wire work but iv check the wires and can find where its rubbing and with the switch i put in when i pull it o turn on the head lights ihave to push it in just a little to have the light go on
That's a contact problem in the switch itself and probably the cause of the blown fuses. If you just replaced the main light switch, take it out and take it back.
ok well if its the switch it was the old 1 and new one what good would it do 2 take it back and get a new one if its going to keep doinmg that maybe its the rod in the switch i was driving to day and the inside lights went on by itself
Taking the old switch out, which is the new one, and taking it back to get a new newer one, which would be switch 2, will let re-install the switch 2 correctly. Thus correcting the problem that was created when you installed the ole switch incorrectly in the first place.
i was checking for a short i saw the trailer break had some wires going to the fuse box but i dont know if it work or if thats what caused the fuse blowing
