idle problem
My 93 f150 With 302 wont stay running when cold. Also revs up to 2000 rpm's occasionaly. There is no pattern to when it revs up, it has done it at all different times. My mechanic has had the truck for three weeks and cannot figure it out.There are no vacume leaks and the throtle body was replaced.Not sure exactly what else he tried.Any help would be great. Thanks

idle problem
My mustang 5.0 had the same symtoms. Ended up the vacuum switch for the EGR vavle was opening the EGR up alittle and causing a bad idle. It would idle high at times but running down the road it would tend to buck at a contant speed. I removed the vacuum line to the EGR and blocked it. I reset the ECU and it runs fine. I had checked everything else and even swap the vavle to another 5.0. Hopefully this will help. hotrod1783
