Question tranny woes

Hey guys long time no post. I have a 1982 F150 with a 302 and AOD tranny that is starting to slip. I rebuilt the motor last winter and got it running good, but now the tranny is giving me problems. I would like to have either a c4 or c6 trans. but don't know which one will give me the best results. I drive mostly in town but some road driving. I would like a trans. that I can bolt right up no mods required because I don't know much about trannys. Thanks for any help.
Dave

You can have the AOD rebuilt and beefed, and not lose your OD or have to do mods to fit one of the other transmissions.

C4 and C6 are cheap, but you still have to insure they are sound before installation, which means some kind of shop inspection.

Check your trans shops before you jump off the cliff with your AOD.

Info, parts, ideas, ways to spend money:

TCI has tranmissions and prices quoted. They (and the others) also deal in C4 and C6 boxes, or even a GM 700R if you want something really different....
