"fuel too lean bank 1, bank 2"
i'm thinking vaccum leak, but have heard the o2 sensors could be playing a part here too. penny for your thoughts.
I'm facing the same problem. I've read that it is usually not the O2 sensors..that it is usually vaccum(if at idler light throttle)..or insufficient fueling (if at heavy load)..but I've also seen mentions of MAF...good, coolant temp sensor..
When you have the same concern on both banks you have to look at stuff that effects both banks. Before looking for vac. leaks I would recomend checking fuel pressure if you have a gauge. If it has lots of power at wide open throttle I would skip that and go straight to the MAF sensor and check it for dirt. They can be cleaned in most cases.
I'm heading for the dealer at some point, my 2001 Sport Trac occasionally flashes the CES light when I open her up all the way. This is supposedly due to a misfire condition, however, there is no power loss, or hesitation.
It's rumored there's an issue with the fuel pump sending enough fuel... more to come.
Yeah, so it turns out that there was a leak in the manifold gasket causing the CES light to blink on hard acceleration. I thought the dealer was full of it, but the light came on once after that for a brief second, as if it forgot the problem was fixed. It hasn't come on since.
Dealer replaced the gasket, ignition wires, spark plugs.
I have replaced all 3 02 sensors the ignition coil plugs and wires , then after all that I replaced the coil again and today I am replaceing the 02 sensors (bank 1 and 2 again) see if that does anything I will try the maf sensor too.
