Picture of rear wiper mechanism?
I need some help. Can someone open their rear window and take a picture of the round disc that contacts the wiper arm, and a picture of the back side of the wiper arm. My rear wiper doesn't move. The motor turns and the wiper sits still. The wiper turns by hand. There is a piece missing between the round plastic disc and the back side(inside) of the wiper arm.
My expy is an 04 Expedition 5.4 Eddie Bauer 4X4 every option but navigation. Just a couple of pictures would be great.
thanks

Don't have a picture. There is a spring loaded pin on the liftgate glass side of the wiper arm. This is what engages into the wiper motor disc when you close the liftgate glass. Sounds like it is either stuck in the pushed in position, or it came out. You will probably have to replace the wiper pivot shaft assembly if it came out. I would try and push on the pin with a small screwdriver, maybe it just got hung up.

I didn't get around to taking photos when I took apart the rear wiper pivot arm assy. The shaft was binding on mine. But here's a drawing of the glass side of the rear wiper assy. The red arrow points at a little spring loaded shaft that would mate with the hole in the black disc on the motor side.

As mvoeller2 indicated, it does occasionally get bound up and stuck in a depressed position.
