Non EBPV Pedistal ?

I'm installing a non ebpv pedistal and was wondering what do I do about the butter fly? Do I wire it open, just leave it?

Also is there some thing else I need to do that I missed from reading the past threads or is it just intsall the pedistal & go.

Thanks
Rich

You can grind off the rivets on the EBPV shaft and drive them out to remove the butterfly valve. Remove the shaft and bushings and install, IIRC, 20mm expansion (freeze)plugs in their place. Some have mentioned that they welded the holes shut.

Thanks Muck, but I don't have a welder or grinder, so I'm assuming I can just wire the valve open

Yes wiring it open is an option. Just remember if you wire it a little loose, it will partially close with the throttle resulting in reduced power and lower MPG's. Wiring will work, just make sure that sucker is tight so it doesn't flap around.

Good deal. A couple of less things to worry about now.
