460 vacuum line disaster

460 vacuum line disaster
Not sure if I'm in the right room!
I have a 76' Ford quadravan with a 460. For starters this engine has nothing on it as far as emissions and does'nt need any, I'm in alaska.
I'v read and gone through about all the books and schematics for this motor all call for things like - thermactor air bypass, egr, back pressure transducer...... if you like I could keep going.. In short all there is to it is the carb with no riaser that should have the EGR on it? the distibutor of course has the vac advance and thats it none of the other cr*p. As it sits right now ( in the garage
)it runs great, hit the throttle to the floor and it purrs, take it on the road and it has no power, none, I just barely made it up the drive way, if I floor it, it all but dies, slowly giving it gas it WILL pick up speed but I could run faster It's not kicking down (gears) properly either, I've read about guys taking the smog controls out but how do you get it to run right.
By the way the last time my brother in-law had it running good it only got 3, thats righ 3 MPG
