100K checkup :)

just got back from another 1500 mile, 20+ hrs trip and with 91k on the clock for our 05 6oh Ex, the extended warranty will be running out..
bringing it in for it's final "physical" before another similar trip in a couple of weeks...

Been trying to watch and note any things we wanted looked at....
but only issue we know of is the A/C not freezing us out like it's always done before...

Anything like recalls, etc... I should ask about...
or symptoms I should say it has to GET the recalls/TSB's done ?

please, NOT looking for another 6oh is horrible thread -
enough of those going on already, just wondering what to ask for....

Thanks in advance !

If it will make you guys feel any better... even with the MANY issues MANY people have had with the 6.0, it's still a far superior engine to the V10.

When it's actually running of course, and not sitting on the dealership service lot!

I would suggest if you plan on keeping it to get an extended warranty before the current one runs out. They are also transferable which adds to the value of the vehicle.

Thanks - already got it out to 100k ..... and since I am at 92k now

truck has been running fine as far as I could tell except for the ac being a little warm....

and a little burp in the idle every once in a while...

but just got a call from the dealer - they are replacing 4 injectors !!!!!!!!!!!!!

How could it run so well and have 4 bad injectors ?!?!

GOOD Dealer I found !!!

I think he was talking about the diesel engine care warranty. 7yr/200,000 mi. I think I paid $1,300 when I extended mine.

I believe this is not available to anyone who is past the 5 year service date or over 100K.

True?

Thanks

He's got an 05 with 91K. should be good to go. I got mine earlier this year on an 05 with 74k.

Yep, talked to them yesterday...
quoted $1800-$2000 for 2 more years and up to 200k.... little steep.. where did u get it for $1300?

if I have another 4 injectors go, that will do that in

but found out seems like svc writer a didn't tell svc writer b all the things we talked about that I wanted checked!

And I even gave them a typed list !!! gggggggggrrrrrrrrrr

but they are making it good, just taking another day...

I stated had the white stuff on the degas bottle and they want to clean it up and just put a new cap and let me drive it for a few more weeks.... quoted what is said on the internet about that and they suggested this....

but that might cost me another $100 deductible.... we'll see...
