Ex won't start

I turned off my V10 Excursion after driving it for a couple of miles and when I went to restart it; it ran really rough for a couple of seconds until it completly died. It would not catch after that. I sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it would run for a few seconds until it burned the fluid up. I checked all the fuses/relays and I did not find any issues. I want to make sure I did not overlook anything prior to replacing the fuel pump which will cost a couple of hundred dollars. Any suggestions?

Can you hear the pump prime when you turn the key to the ON (but not Start) position?

I have not been able to hear the pump.

Welcome to the FTE family!

Have you tried hitting the tank from underneath. Sometimes that gets er going, and atleast you can say it the pump before replacing.
