Unhappy Gotta pull the motor

Well, I gotta pull the Cat motor out of the Big Job. I was hoping that the coolant pressure was coming from the air compressor, but it's not. So, while the 600 something cubic inch diesel hunk of iron is out, I'll be checking out the bottom end, the cylinders, and the valves. The positive, is that I'll be able to really get the motor good and clean, and shoot it with a fresh coat of paint. I decided to go Cat yellow on the block and such, but will be doing a Ford scheme, and do all the accessory items in semi-gloss black (oil pan, pullies, etc., etc.). The complete gasket set is only $95 my cost through NAPA, plus the rear main, which is another $50. This will also give the chance to finish cleaning the inside of the frame rails, and get it all painted inside and out. I'm not looking forward to the work, but I guess it's the price we pay for having Big old toys.

I’m not very diesel knowledgeable by choice, but curious as to where the air build up can come from and the appropriate repair. Thanks.

Compression entering the cooling system through a blown head gasket.

Yeah, head gaskets. It's not so bad that I'm getting water in the oil, just bad enough that it's pressurizing the cooling system.
