Speaking of the Yuba fire, your lungs probably aint doing so well with the fire in the Santa Cruz mountains.

When this step is in use, and its hanging from the tow hooks, does the board put pressure on the plastic/bumper?

Or does the board hang straight down without touching the front of the truck?

you must have missed the thanks jeff under the picture, & to begin with i didn't see where he was trying to take credit for anything all he said was she's all done. you make it sound like he came out and said hey look what i thought up, don't you wish you were smart enough to think of some thing this cool.

I never said he was trying to take credit for it, just that he should have been a lot more plain in saying "Hey, I got this neat idea from Jeff at the Riffraff West Coast get together when I saw his step, so I made one up too. Check it out!"

No, I didn't. But you're entitled to your opinion, because that's how you read my post. Unfortunately, tone cannot be heard through the written word.

Just FYI, as you can see from the quoted posts below, I wasn't the only one who thought credit should have been a bit more apparent.

Clay and Mark had Jeff's step with them when they stopped at my house last week. I saw that and instantly thought that it was one of the most brilliant inventions I had ever seen, and I instantly wanted one.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

It was super early in the morning, and I think I remember asking Mark and Clay, but Jeff, if you need help patenting this idea, just let me know. I was a Journalism major in college and I know a few things about how to go about legalizing your idea/design so that some big company somewhere can't steal it. . I hated that law/copyright/trade class but sometimes things come in handy!

I figured it out now!

That is a high tech device used to beat anyone that A: steps on the sticker or B: messes with your truck.

Ok, Clay needs to think seriously about selling a Riffraff Yawara stick!

How did I miss this! It's not my original idea, and everyone that has asked me about it I let them know. It's the Craven mod. I'm in the process of making a lightweight steel version that folds in half for ease of storage. That one Lisa, I would take you up on your offer.

I like the "Jeff Step" better for marketing purposes. Nice job on the step Andrew, I'll be doing one soon too, great idea guys. Seen Clay's or Mark's at RRE.

Yep. When you have some designs drawn up, let me know and we'll get started going through the motions.
